ABOUT US

At Transitions we strive to create a friendly and fun atmosphere for our pupils so that they feel comfortable and relaxed and are more open to learning new dance steps and performing in front of others. We use just the right amount of dicscipline for them to realise that although it is a fun class, we are there to produce the best work that we can.

We also offer ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) examinations in Modern Theatre. I myself hold Licentiate status with them and my trainee teacher is studying the work to become a fully qualified ISTD teacher himself. The Vocational Grades are accredited by Ofqual and include Intermediate Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced 1 and Advanced 2. These examinations form a cohesive bridge between the work covered in the Grades and the work of the professional examinations.

We encourage and promote auditioning and taking part in both local and international events. The video above feature our Grade 2 girls (9-10 year olds) performing at the Prague Dance Festival and this one on the left is at a local dance festival.

We hold bi-annual productions and we are currently working towards 'Mulan' after having a huge success and extremely good reviews from our last production 'The Lion 'King. Below is an extract of the show which we performed at the Prague Dance Festival as a medley.
